“Tarzan” Comic Strips and Comic Books

Dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures were occasionally featured by author Edgar Rice Burroughs in his Tarzan stories set in exotic locales like the lost land of Pal-ul-don in Africa and Pellucidar at the Earth’s core. Subsequently they also became more frequently depicted in newspaper comic strips, comic books (and their  covers) and albums (aka graphic novels) about the Apeman’s (and also his son Korak’s) adventures by such artists and writers as Hal Foster,  Jesse Marsh, Mo (Morris) Gollub,  Russ Manning, Ken Webber, George Wilson, Doug Wildey,  Joe Kubert. John Buscema, Mike Ploog and Dave Stevens (the latter two in Tarzan Weekly from a script I wrote). Some of these images, all of which are in my collection, are from books collecting the older comic strips.
