Articulated wooden sauropod dinosaur figure made in China. I purchased this piece at a gift shop in the “Old Town” area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was the only dinosaur-related item I saw in that store.
Below, souvenir postcards with sauropod inagery — one of a skeleton of Diplodocus mounted at the Denver Museum of Natural History (now the Denver Museum of Nature and Science), and two of a skeleton and life restoration of Mamenchisaurus, the latter two from 1980s a traveling exhibition of fossils from China.
