As a child, I went to the Chicago Public Library on the average of once every two weeks, and most of the books I borrowed were about dinosaurs and other forms of prehistoric life. Often I would take out the same books again and again. Here are just a small number of those treasured tomes. Gradually I began to seek out more technical books in the libraries’ “adult” sections, using my Mom’s library card.
Luckily I’ve been able to acquire my own copies of some of them over the years.
