This painting was done in 1980 by artist Nestor Redondo for an unsold comic book project — tentatively entitled Sabra — he and I were proposing, I doing the writing. It starred an Asian jungle girl named Sabra who had a sabre-toothed cat for a pet and fought injustice in a prehistoric “lost world.”
