The Land of Kong

Souvenir postcards from The Land of Kong, originaly called Farwell’s Dinosaur Park, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  The park was designed for educational purposes by Olo Farwell. The full-scale prehistoric-animals statues were made by sculptor Emmet A. Sullivan‘s life-sized dinosaur statues, some resembling those he created earlier for Dinosaur Park in Rapid City, South Dakota. The park’s name was changed when purchased by movie star John Agar, who played the Mayor of New York in the 1976 remake of the movie King Kong. (In 1955, Agar had starred in the sciemce-fiction/horror  film Revenge of the Creature, about a prehistoric monster.) The Land of Kong is no longer open.
