1964 World’s Fair Prehistorics

 

 

Injected-plastic dinosaurs based on the full-sized models made by the Jonas Studios for the “Sinclair Dinoland” exhibit, New York World’s Fair (1964). Most of these figures were made and sold in “Mold-a-Rama” vending machines, which can still be found today (e.g., The Field Museum in Chicago). Included in the second photo (above) is a Sinclair bank (ca. mid-1960).  Also (below), set of plastic toy dinosaurs (1960s) based on the full-scale statues made for the 1964 Fair. The gray Tyrannosaurus  is a reissue.
