The paleontological diggings at Los Angeles’ famous Rancho La Brea Tar Pits and the fossil treasures collected at that site have been subjects for stereograph views since before the teen years of the 1900s. Just a sampling of those views are represented here, from three sources — J. Z. Gilbert and F. C. Winter (“Rancho La Brea Series,” 1909-10, Philip Brigandi (1920s) and Keystone Views (1930s).
