
The Prehistoric Gardens , a park with life-sized statues of prehistoric animals — set in a rain forest in Port Orford, Oregon on the state’s coast — sold post cards, pennants, coaster and all sorts of other merchandise, now collectors items. One of the postcards (left) shows the marine reptile Elasmosaurus (above, left) the first life-sized prehistoric-animal statue created for the Gardens, another, the Garden’s biggest figure, the gigantic dinosaur Brachiosaurus (below, left).
