Prehistoric Land, Wisconsin Dells

Among the earliest s”prehistoric parks” in the USA was the Prehistoric Land, which was part of the Enchanted Forrest attraction at the Wisconsin Dells. The park began in the mid-1950s featuring a suite of dinosaur figures sculpted by Dick Day, presumably influenced by the ones sculpted by Emmet A. Sullivan for Rapid City’s Dinosaur Park. Alas, Prehistoric Land no longer exists, except in family photos, personal memories and also  souvenir postcards like these.  To see some snapshots I and my Mom took at Prehistoric Land, CLICK HERE.
