In its day “The World a Million Years Ago,” created by the Messmore & Damon company in New York, was a state-of-the-art attraction! When the show first played at the1933 Chicago World’s Fair, it played inside a big dome-like structure. To see more collectibles from this attraction, CLICK HERE.
The photos below were acquired by me from Francis Messmore of Messmore & Damon. The Stegosaurus on the ice is actually a costume worn by a performer, made for the attraction when, as “Pastorama,” it was featured at the 1939-40 New York World’s Fair. Some of the other photos below may also pertain to “Pastorama.”
